The seven week picture.

Here is my belly at seven weeks pregnant. 33 more to go!!

Our first baby picture

On Friday Novemeber 7th we went back to the doctor for an ultra-sound. She moved the "magic wand" around to reveal one little sack with a tiny little piece of rice inside. We were so excited, I just held my breath. We then got to see the heartbeat on the screen. It was one of the most amazing things I have ever seen. I felt like it showed us a little piece of God's ability to make miracles happen. We then went and showed my mom and sister, called the great grandparents to tell them. I then took the picture up to show my dad at school. He was a beaming grandpa. He was showing off the picture to anyone who would look at it. I then went back up to school to finish off parent teacher conferences. We then meet Ross's mom and dad at Chili's for lunch and showed them the picture.
It may look like a little white blob, but it is the cutiest white blob I have ever seen.

Telling the Grandparents

After we got the results of our blood test we decided to go ahead and tell both of our parents. We went out and bought them each a onezie and a ball for each of the granddads. We then went to my parents house. My mom, dad, mindy, and her boyfriend drew were at the house. We told them we bought them an early Halloween present. My mom opened the sack to find a onesie that said "who needs santa, I've got grandparents." My mom just stared stunned for a second and my dad said "you think so, huh?" I then announced that I was pregnant. My sister Mindy was aparently not really focused and it took me telling her twice for it to sink in that she was an aunt. We were all really excited and hugged and talked about baby stuff. We had to leave pretty shortly after to go over and tell Ross's parents the news.
When we got to Ross's parents no one was home from work yet. We had to leave the Halloween gift on the counter and just wait. In about 10 mins both mom and dad had showed up at home. Ross had to make his mom wait to open the present till his dad could get in there. She opened up to find a onezie that said "what happens at grandma's stays at grandma's." Ross's dad asked if we were trying to tell them something and Ross responded "yes." His mom ran over and was jumping up and down trying to hug us and a little teary eyed with excitment. Ross's dad then came over and hugged us both with a big congratulations. They were so excited.

The Beginning

On Friday morning October 24 we took the test. Ross was still asleep in bed and I was getting ready for work. As I was about to leave I decided I should check it just for peace of mind. It took my breath away to see the word "pregnant" across the little screen. I ran in and turned on all the lights in the bedroom, jumped in bed, and shoved the stick in Ross's face. He was so groggy I don't think he really understood till later. We then realized that we had no idea what to do now that it was actually positive. So we call Jeni, Ross's cousin, and asked her. She was so excited for us and told us to call the doctor and make an appointment right away. We called and went in for a blood test at 8 am. Around 2 that afternoon we got the results. We really were pregnant!!!
